Before Buying a Communication System for a New Helmet

Check the helmet first, then choose a communication system that is approved for its shape and interior.

Avoid buying by brand name alone

Helmet and intercom ranges often support only selected combinations. Start with the helmet’s exact model and shell size, then consult the communication-system maker’s current fitment list.

Speaker pockets, clamp clearance, and cable routes differ. A system that fits one helmet in a product family may not fit every size or revision.

Protect the helmet’s construction

Install only as the manufacturers instruct. Do not cut, drill, or reshape the shell, impact liner, or retention system to make a device fit. If the installation is unclear, ask an authorised retailer.

After installation, put the helmet on and check for pressure points, secure strap operation, and complete liner seating. Pair and test the device while parked.

Compatibility checklist

  • Match exact helmet model and size.
  • Confirm speaker and mount support in the official fitment list.
  • Keep the shell, liner, and strap unmodified.
  • Test comfort and controls before the first ride.
